Automatic Lighting Sensor Test/Replacement

NOTE: Take care not to scratch the dashboard.

1. Remove the center speaker lid.

2. Pop out the automatic lighting sensor (A).





3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

4. Measure the voltage between automatic lighting sensor 5P connector terminals No. 3 and No. 5.

- About 3.6 V in direct sunlight.
- About 0.2 V when the sensor is covered up.

5. If the voltage is not as specified, replace the automatic lighting sensor.

NOTE: In auto mode, the headlights should turn on at about 1.4 V or less, and turn off at about 2.2 V or more.
