DTC Troubleshooting: B2240

DTC B2240:

XM Antenna line failure

1. Connect the HDS to the DLC How to Troubleshoot the AcuraLink.

2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

3. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode. and then back to ON (II), or the ON mode and wait 30 seconds or more.

4. Check for DTC with the HDS.

Is DTC B2240 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the XM antenna is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) and the XM antenna.

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

6. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector B (2P) and the XM antenna 2P connector.

Are the connections or terminals OK?

YES -

Go to step 7.

NO -

Repair poor connections or loose terminals, and recheck the DTC.

7. Substitute a known-good XM antenna Removal and Replacement.

8. Clear the DTC with the HDS.

9. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, and then back to ON (II), or the ON mode and wait 30 seconds or more.

10. Check for DTC with the HDS.

Is DTC B2240 indicated?

YES -

Update the AcuraLink control unit Programming and Relearning if it does not have the latest software. If the software is the latest, replace the original AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) AcuraLink Control Unit (XM Receiver) Removal/Installation.

NO -

Replace the original XM antenna Removal and Replacement.
