DTC Troubleshooting: U0155

DTC U0155:

Lost Communication With the Gauge Control Module

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, then wait for 10 seconds.

3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC U0155 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 4.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

4. Check for any DTCs with the HDS.

Are there any other gauge control module DTCs indicated?

YES -

Troubleshoot the indicated gauge control module DTC(s). After troubleshooting, clear the DTC.

NO -

Go to step 5.

5. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

6. Disconnect the BSI control unit 16P connector.

7. Disconnect gauge control module 32P connector.

8. Check for continuity between gauge control module 32P connector terminal No. 30 and BSI control unit 16P connector terminal No. 6, and between gauge control module 32P connector terminal No. 29 and BSI control unit 16P connector terminal No 5.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Replace the BSI control unit BSI Control Unit Removal/Installation.

NO -

Repair an open in the wire between the gauge control module and the BSI control unit.
