Special Tools Required
- Remover Installer, 22 x 37/46 x 52 mm 07PAF-0030100

1. Check the carrier bearings for wear and rough rotation on the transmission or the clutch housing with the bearing outer race. If they rotate smoothly and their rollers show no signs of wear, the bearings are OK.
2. Remove the carrier bearings (A) using a commercially available bearing puller (B) and a bearing separator (C).
3. Install new carrier bearings using the 22 x 37/46 x 52 mm remover installer (A) and a press (B). Press on each bearing until it bottoms out. There should be no clearance between the bearings and the differential carrier.
