Trunk Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body.
- Take care not to kink the trunk lid opener cable.

1. Remove the rear shelf.

2. Detach the cable fastener (A), and disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (B) from the trunk key cylinder bracket (C).






3. Remove the bolts securing the bracket (A).






4. Remove the bracket (A).






5. Remove the bolt. Release the hook (A) by turning the trunk lid cylinder (B) 45 °, then remove the cylinder from the bracket (C).





6. Install the cylinder in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

- Replace the damaged cable fastener with a new one.
- Make sure the opener cable is connected properly.
- When installing the bracket, first tighten the inside mounting bolt, then tighten the outside mounting bolt.
- Make sure the trunk lid opens properly and locks securely.
