Lower Front Bumper Grille Replacement
Special Tools Required
- KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014
*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857
NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the front bumper.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
- When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
1. Remove the front bumper fog light covers on both sides .
2. Remove the bolts securing the induction plate A.
3. Detach the clips, and release the hooks (B), then remove the induction plate A.
NOTE: To release the clips, pry up on the center pin at the notch (C).
4. Remove the screw and clips, and release the hooks (A), then remove the lower side grille assembly (B).
NOTE:
- To release the clips, pry up on the center pin at the notch (C).
- The left side is shown; the right side is similar.
5. Detach the clips, and release the hooks (A) (12 places), then remove the lower front bumper grille (B) and the induction center plate (C) as an assembly from the front bumper (D).
NOTE: To release the clips, pry up on the center pin at the notch (E).
6. Remove the screws, and release the hooks (A) (four places), then remove the induction center plate (B) from the lower front bumper grille (C).
7. Install the grille in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips and the hooks into place securely.
