Brake Pedal Pad Cover Replacement
NOTE: This procedure shows a model equipped with a metal brake pedal pad cover.
1. Cover the carpet under the brake pedal to prevent metal shavings from getting on the carpet.
2. Center-punch each of the rivets (A), and drill their heads off with a 3 mm (0.12 in) drill bit (B).
NOTE: Do not drill the pedal pad (C).
3. Remove the pedal pad cover (A) and the pedal cover (B) from the pedal pad (C).
4. Set the pedal cover to the pedal pad cover.
5. Install the pedal pad cover (A) with the rivets (B) securely using a commercially available pop rivet tool (C).
6. Make sure the pedal cover and the pad cover are securely fastened on the brake pedal.
