Navigation System Diagnostic Mode (Continued)
Display
This diagnosis checks on the communication bus between the audio-navigation unit and the navigation display. This test also checks the internal electronic functions.
- If Connection shows NG, the GA-Net bus line may have failed. Check for hard error codes.
- The version represents the software version in the display.
Radio
This diagnosis checks the audio-navigation unit internal radio tuner and CD/DVD player. If Connection shows NG, replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.
NOTE: If the XM link appears red, but the radio link appears green in the System Links, do the XM self-diagnosis.
GPS
This diagnosis tests the GPS antenna connection and the GPS receiver condition.
- If Antenna shows NG, the GPS antenna may have failed. Check for hard error codes.
- Select Information to see the GPS satellite details.
Aircon
This diagnosis checks the climate bus connection (NAVI-SI and NAVI-SO) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit. Make sure the engine is running for this test.
If Connection shows NG, the bus line may have failed. Check for hard error codes.
HFL
This diagnosis checks the 4 wire communication bus between the HandsFreeLink control unit and the audio-navigation unit.
If Connection shows NG, the bus line may have failed. Check the HFL function and check for hard error codes.
USB Memory Information
If the USB memory is connected to the USB port, the screen displays the USB memory size, the Product ID, Vender ID, and connection status.
If Connection shows NG, check for poor connections or loose terminals at audio-navigation unit connector K (7P).
Sub Display
This diagnosis checks the connection between the audio-navigation switch panel and the audio-navigation unit. If Connection shows NG, check for hard error codes.
Hard Key
This diagnosis tests the interface dial, the buttons that surround it, the audio remote switch, and the HFL-navigation voice control switch. For this model, the interface dial and buttons use the serial bus for communications.
To complete the test, press each button on the vehicle's control panel, and move the interface dial to each indicated position. As each function is tested, the corresponding button on the display should highlight.
To exit, press and hold the interface dial.
NOTE: You cannot use the onscreen return button to exit this function.

Yaw Sensor
This screen gives a quick test of the yaw rate sensor functionality based on the two voltages Sensor and Offset. For more information see the Yaw Rate Diagnosis.
ECU Info
This screen looks for problems in the audio-navigation unit. When you initiate this diagnosis, the audio-navigation unit may freeze or delay up to a minute while the diagnosis runs.
- If D-RAM shows NG, replace the audio-navigation unit Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation.
- Program Flash: Displays the version of the navigation software in memory.
- Program on HDD: If displayed, this value represents the version of the navigation software on the audio-navigation unit HDD.
- Program on DVD: If displayed, this value represents the version of the navigation software on the audio-navigation unit DVD player.
- Serial No. should be the same as the serial number found on the upper side of the audio-navigation unit. You need this number to obtain the security code from the Interactive Network (iN) system.
- DB Version: Displays the version of the database on the audio-navigation unit HDD.
- HDD Version: Display the version of the audio-navigation unit HDD.
- D-RAM check is for factory use only.
