Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation

NOTE:

- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Eject the disc before removing the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
- If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
- If the audio-navigation unit is replaced or disconnected, a Map Matching must be done.

1. Make sure you have the 5-digit anti-theft code.

2. Remove the center console panel Center Console Panel Removal / Installation and the passenger's dashboard trim Passenger's Dashboard Trim Removal / Installation.

3. Remove the driver's center trim and the passenger's center trim Dashboard Center Trim Removal / Installation.

4. Remove the climate control unit Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation.

5. Carefully remove the bolts (A) and bolts (B), then pull the audio-navigation unit (C) out.





6. Disconnect the audio-navigation unit connectors, and remove the audio-navigation unit.

- If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, remove the HDD HDD Removal / Installation.
- Some of the audio-navigation unit connectors have lever locks. Release the locks before disconnecting the connectors.

7. Remove the bolts (A) and brackets (B) from the audio-navigation unit.






8. Remove the screws and the front panel (A) from the audio-navigation unit (B).






9. Install the audio-navigation unit in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Check any official Honda service website for more service information about patches for the navigation system. Apply any prescribed patches to the new audio-navigation unit.

10. Enter the new 5-digit anti-theft code.

11. Park the vehicle outside, and do the GPS Initialization.

12. Give the new navigation anti-theft code to the client.
