DTC Troubleshooting: B1660

DTC B1660:

Front Interior LF Antenna Circuit Open or Short

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Select the MODE MENU from the HDS, then enter the SELF CHECK.

3. Do the SELF CHECK.

4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B1660 indicated?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

5. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

6. Disconnect keyless access control unit connector A (36P).

7. Disconnect the front interior LF antenna 2P connector.

8. Check for continuity between body ground and keyless access control unit connector A (36P) terminals No. 14 and No. 15 individually.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short to ground in the wire(s).

NO -

Go to step 9.

9. Check for continuity between keyless access control unit connector A (36P) terminals No. 14 and No. 15 and front interior LF antenna 2P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 1 respectively.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Go to step 10.

NO -

Repair an open or high resistance in the wire(s).

10. Check for continuity between keyless access control unit connector A (36P) terminals No. 14 and No. 15.





Is there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short between the wires.

NO -

Go to step 11.

11. Reconnect the front interior LF antenna 2P connector.

12. Measure the resistance between keyless access control unit connector A (36P) terminals No. 14 and No. 15.





Is there 1-5 Ohms?

YES -

Replace the keyless access control unit.

NO -

Replace the front interior LF antenna Keyless Access LF Antenna (Front Interior) Replacement.
