DTC Troubleshooting: B18BD

DTC B18BD:

BSI Control Unit Voltage Input High

NOTE: This DTC may be indicated due to a faulty charging system including the battery.

1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.

2. Start the engine, then wait for 20 seconds.

3. Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Is DTC B18BD indicated?

YES -

Go to step 4.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.

4. Press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

5. Test the battery Battery Test.

Is the battery OK?

YES -

Replace the BSI control unit BSI Control Unit Removal/Installation.

NO -

Replace the battery Removal and Replacement.
