DTC 10:
Vehicle Speed Signal Error
NOTE: If DTC 110 and DTC 111 are stored at the same time as DTC 10, troubleshoot DTC 110 and DTC 111 first, then recheck for DTC 10.
1. Check for A/T system DTCs with the HDS How to Troubleshoot the A/T System.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated A/T system DTC(s).
NO -
Go to step 2.
2. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated VSA system DTC(s).
NO -
Go to step 3.
3. Clear the DTCs with the HDS Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
4. Test-drive the vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more with the ACC activated, and check the data of vehicle speed signal with the HDS (ACC system).
Does HDS correspond to the vehicle speed indicated in the gauge control module?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
NO -
Go to step 5.
5. Test-drive the vehicle at 25 mph (40 km/h) or more with the ACC activated, and check the data of vehicle speed signal with the HDS (A/T system).
Does HDS correspond to the vehicle speed indicated in the gauge control module?
YES -
Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, update the ACC unit Testing and Inspection, then recheck. If the ACC unit was already updated, replace the ACC unit Service and Repair.
NO -
Go to the A/T system troubleshooting How to Troubleshoot the A/T System.
