Navigation System DTC Troubleshooting: 2703

DTC 2703:

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- This navigation DTC set when a communication error between the climate control unit and the audio-navigation unit (open or short) is detected.
- Check any official Honda service website for more service information about the navigation system.
- Check for B-CAN DTCs and resolve them before troubleshooting.
- Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the General Troubleshooting Information How To Troubleshoot The Navigation System.
- If the A/C system does not work properly, do the A/C system troubleshooting.

1. Clear the hard error code.

2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode, then back to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

3. Go into the System Diagnostic Mode, and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode.

4. Check the System Links.

Is the A/C icon red?

YES -

Go to step 5.

NO -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

6. Disconnect audio-navigation unit connector D (20P).

7. Connect audio-navigation unit connector D (20P) terminals No. 4 and No. 5 with a jumper wire, then connect terminals No. 4 and No. 14 with a jumper wire.






8. Press and hold the AUTO button, then press and hold the FAN ON/OFF button of the climate control unit, then turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/ stop button to select the ON mode.

Are both HEAT/VENT indicators solid with the remaining icons blinking?

YES -

Replace the audio-navigation unit.

NO -

Go to step 9.

9. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

10. Remove the jumper wires.

11. Disconnect climate control unit connector C (20P).

12. Check for continuity between audio-navigation unit connector D (20P) and body ground according to the table.









Are there continuity?

YES -

Repair a short to body ground in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit, and recheck.

NO -

Go to step 13.

13. Check for continuity between the terminals of audio-navigation unit connector D (20P) according to the table.









Is there continuity between any of the terminals?

YES -

Repair a short in the wires between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit.

NO -

Go to step 14.

14. Check for continuity between audio-navigation unit connector D (20P) and climate control unit connector C (20P) according to the table.













Is there continuity?

YES -

Replace the climate control unit Service and Repair, and recheck.

NO -

Repair an open in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the climate control unit, and recheck.
