Front Seat Rail Replacement - Passenger's Seat

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations and the precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or service.
Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization after front passenger's seat frame replacement.
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Raise the seat all the way up.
2. Remove the front seat Front Seat Removal / Installation.
3. Remove these items:
- Front seat recline cover Front Seat Recline Cover Removal / Installation
- Seat belt buckle
4. Detach the clips (A, B), then remove the upper rail outer cover (C).
5. Detach the clip (A, B), then remove the upper rail inner cover (C).
6. Remove the slide motor cover (A).
7. Disconnect the slide motor connector (B), then detach the harness clip (C).
8. Disconnect the front passenger's weight sensor connector (A), then detach the harness clip (B). Repeat on the opposite side.
9. Remove the bolts with a TORX T30 bit, then remove the front seat rail (A).
10. Remove the bolts with a TORX T40 bit, then remove the front passenger's weight sensors (A).
11. Install the seat frame in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- The front passenger's weight sensors are part of the seat frame and must be replaced as assembly.
- Clear any DTCs with the HDS.
- Do the front passenger's weight sensor initialization.
- Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
- Push the clips into place securely.
- Be sure to install the harness wires so they are not pinched or interfere with other parts.
- Check the seat slide operation.
