Subject: Rebuilt Short-Blocks - Crankshaft Modifications (Gas & Diesel)
Rebuilt engines will be equipped with a modified crankshaft. This crankshaft now has a 31 mm diameter (formerly 22 mm diameter) journal for the spur belt gear. Also, the crankshaft bolt was increased to 14 mm diameter (formerly 12 mm diameter). The torque for the 14 mm crankshaft bolt is 200 N-m (145 ft.lb.). In addition, the following parts are required if this new crankshaft/short-block is installed:
