Caution

Whenever possible, tow with front wheels off ground. The central and rear differential must be "unlocked" during towing. Consult owners manual for "unlocking" information.



Front hookup

- attach J-hooks to engine subframe, inboard of lower A-frames
- place 4 x 4 under front bumper against towing stops
- place tow bar under 4 x 4
- double wrap chains on tow bar
- attach safety chains to lower A-frames
- tow vehicle with 5 in. (130 mm) ground clearance under front tires



Rear hookup

- attach J-hooks to rear differential subframe
- place 50" 4 x 4 against differential subframe
- place tow bar under 4 x 4
- position sling inboard of exhaust pipe
- double wrap chains on tow bar
- attach safety chains to lower suspension arms
- tow vehicle with 5 in. (130 mm) ground clearance under rear tires
