Suspension Strut Replace

5000 MODELS

1. Remove wheel cover and remove nut securing axle shaft in front hub.
2. Raise and support front of vehicle and remove wheels.
3. Remove stabilizer bar clamps on both sides.

4. Remove bolts indicated by arrows, Fig. 4, and remove caliper, leaving hydraulic line connected.
5. Disconnect tie rod from steering knuckle.

6. Press axle shaft from hub, Fig. 2, and remove ball joint from hub.
7. Remove nuts securing top of strut while supporting strut from below. Remove strut from vehicle.
8. Reverse procedure to install, and check front suspension alignment.
