Turbocharger: Service and Repair

WORK SEQUENCE
- Disconnect battery ground cable





- Remove intake air boot from between intercooler and throttle valve body (arrows)





- Remove air intake duct (right arrows)
- Remove vacuum hose from between turbocharger and air intake duct (left arrow)





- Unclip air filter cover (arrows)





- Disconnect and remove cover plate (left arrows)
- Disconnect front exhaust pipe from turbocharger (right arrows)





- Disconnect oil supply line from turbocharger (arrows)





- Disconnect exhaust pipe from wastegate pipe (arrows)





- Disconnect exhaust pipe from transmission mount and front muffler (arrows)





- Remove alternator cooling air hose (arrows)





- Disconnect intercooler hose from turbocharger (arrow)





- Disconnect oil return line from turbocharger (arrows)





- Loosen alternator V-belt (right arrows)
- Remove alternator with mounting brackets (upper arrows)

- Disconnect right engine mount cooling air hose





- Remove turbocharger (arrows)
