Programmer

Programmer

Purpose and Operation
The programmer is located under the dashboard behind the glove box. The programmer receives signals from the control head and temperature sensors. Based on these signals the programmer operates

- The heater control flaps
- The heater valve
- The vacuum servos for air distribution
- The control signal for the blower control unit

Four vacuum solenoids are located in the programmer. These control vacuum supply to the heater valve and vacuum servos for air distribution.

A small DC motor is used to control the position of the heater control flaps via a cable, thereby regulating interior temperature.

Note: If the programmer is tilted more than 30° from the installation position, the vacuum solenoids will not operate properly.
