IDLE SWITCH, CHECKING/ADJUSTING





- loosen upper left bolt from throttle valve housing
- attach pointer and tighten bolt
- attach protractor 3084 to primary throttle valve shaft (remove nut if necessary)
- disconnect switch wire plug and connect multimeter US 1119 across open connector terminals
- zero protractor
- open throttle approx. 20°, then slowly close again
- multimeter US 1119 must read 0.0 infinite resistance at 1 to 2.5°





IF NO
- remove throttle valve housing
- adjusting idle switch at mounting screws (arrows)

NOTE: Multimeter US 1119 must indicate continuity (0.0 ohms) before throttle reaches idle position

FULL THROTTLE SWITCH, CHECKING/ADJUSTING

WORK SEQUENCE





- loosen upper left bolt from throttle valve housing
- attach pointer and tighten bolt
- attach protractor 3084 to secondary throttle valve shaft (remove nut if necessary)
- disconnect switch wire plug and connect multimeter US 1119 across open connector terminals
- opens secondary throttle plate fully and zero protractor
- close throttle valve approx. 30°
- open throttle slowly
- multimeter US 1119 must read 0.0 ohms at 12 to 8° before full throttle

IF NO
- adjust full throttle switch at mounting screws


NOTE: Multimeter US 1119 must indicate 0.0 ohms at full throttle position.
