NOTE: Throttle body must be removed to perform checking/ adjusting procedures

IDLE SWITCH





- attach pointer for protractor 3084 to throttle body
- mount protractor 3084 to throttle body shaft
- remove throttle lever mounting nut if necessary
- connect multimeter US 1119 to both terminals of idle switch
- zero protractor
- open throttle to approx. 20°, then slowly close throttle
- specification: 0 ohms at 2 to 4° before closed throttle position

IF NO:
- adjust idle switch at mounting screws

If still NOT OK:
- replace idle switch

FULL THROTTLE SWITCH





- connect multimeter US 1119 to both terminals of full throttle switch
- zero protractor
- slowly open throttle valve
- specification: 0 ohms at 53 to 63° of throttle opening

IF NO:
- adjust full throttle switch at mounting screws

If still NOT OK:
- replace full throttle switch
