Fuel Tank, Removing and Installing

REMOVING
- remove fuel supply line at fuel distributor and insert into suitable container to catch draining fuel
- connect remote control US 4480/3 and switch ON to drain gasoline
- disconnect battery
- remove luggage compartment cover





- remove harness connector from fuel tank sending unit





- pull off supply line A, return line B and vent hose C
- loosen hose clamp at tank filler pipe





- pull off overflow hose (arrow)





- remove screw from splash shield (arrow) and remove filler pipe





- loosen retaining straps (arrows) and lower tank

INSTALLING

NOTE: Proceed in reverse order of removing and note following:





- hold down vent hose with tape A
- install clamp B on fuel lines
