Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

The intake air temperature sensor is located in the intake manifold behind the throttle plate. The resistance signal is used by the control unit to correct the ignition timing for the temperature of the intake air if intake manifold pressure is above 1.0 bar.
