Ohms Measurements

25 Position ECU Plug:

For Terminal ID please refer to "Powertrain Management : Computers and Control Systems : Engine Control Module : Connector Views". Connector Views

CAUTION: When measuring Ohms disconnect the ECU from the harness plug and never turn the ignition key on. It is possible that failure to follow these steps will result in damage to the ECU.

GROUNDS
KEY OFF
Pin 2 to G1 CONTINUITY
Pin 2 to 7 CONTINUITY
Pin 2 to 15 CONTINUITY
Pin 2 to 20 CONTINUITY
Pin 2 to 22 CONTINUITY

ALTITUDE SENSOR
Disconnect Air Flow Sensor when measuring ohms for Altitude sensor.
Changes with Altitude
Pin 14 to 18 2100 - 2600 Ohms
Pin 14 to 11 200 - 3800 Ohms
- Readings from pin 14 to 11 will depend on altitude.

ISC VALVE
Winding(s)
Pin 1 to 3 20 - 24 Ohms
Pin 1 to 4 20 - 24 Ohms
Pin 3 to 4 40 - 48 Ohms

ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC ACTUATOR
Winding(s)
Pin 10 to 12 17 - 22 Ohms

AIR FLOW SENSOR
Disconnect Altitude sensor when measuring ohms on Air Flow Sensor.
At rest
Pin 14 to 18 (supply) 3800 - 4200 Ohms
Pin 14 to 17 (load) 700 - 1200 Ohms
Flap on air flow sensor closed or air flow senor plate at rest position. Resistance increases as flap or plate opens.
Pin 14 to 17 (load) 4200 - 5600 Ohms
Flap on air flow sensor opened to maximum or air flow plate deflected to maximum.
