Subject: Front Seat - Loose, Noisy
Cause:

Seat rail cover cracking/breaking around hole for fastening screw. Original installation torque too high.

Production Change:

Diameter of hole on seat rail enlarged so that torque of fastening screw has decreased from 4-5 N-m to 2 N-m.

As of: March 1986 VIN: 44_G_104400 81_G_144600

Service Solution:

Replace seat rail cover, P/N 443 881 087/088.

NOTE: Do not enlarge hole on seat rail since fastening screw is installed by hand.
