Thermo Time Switch: Testing and Inspection

TEST CONDITIONS
- engine coolant temp. below 10°C (50°F)

WORK SEQUENCE
- unplug coil wire from distributor cap and connect to ground with jumper wire





- unplug connector B from cold start valve
- connect test light across terminals 1 and 2 of connector B
- actuate starter
- test light must go ON for approx. 1 to 8 seconds

If NO
- replace thermo-time switch


NOTE: Thermo-time switch cut-off temperature is stamped on body of switch
