Kickdown Switch

Purpose and Operation
The kickdown switch is located below the accelerator pedal. When the accelerator is fully depressed in the kickdown position, it closes and sends a ground signal to terminal 9 of the control panel head. This will turn off the A/C compressor for approximately 12 seconds.

The switch is used only on cars equipped with automatic transmissions.
