Turbo
Idle and full throttle switches, checkingWork sequence
- Unplug connector for throttle switches at throttle body (arrow)
Voltage supply, checking
- Connect voltmeter between terminal 2 of connector C and ground
- Switch ON ignition
^ Specification: approx. 12V
- Switch OFF ignition
If specification NOT OK
- Check for open circuit in wiring and repair as necessary see current flow diagram
Idle switch, checking
- Connect ohmmeter between terminals 1 and 2
^ Specification: approx. 0 ohm
- Actuate switch with throttle lever
^ Specification: infinite ohm
If specification NOT OK
- Adjust idle switch
- Repeat measurement
If specification still NOT OK
- Replace idle switch and adjust
If specification OK
- Check full throttle switch
Full throttle switch, checking
Work sequence
- Connect ohmmeter between contacts 2 and 3
^ Specification: infinite ohm
- Actuate switch with throttle lever
^ Specification: 0 ohm
If specifications NOT OK
- Adjust idle switch
- Recheck with ohmmeter
If still NOT OK
- Replace full throttle switch
If specifications OK
- Check wiring between connector C and control unit connector A as follows
- Remove control unit cover located in footwell on passenger side of vehicle
- Unplug control unit connector
- Use ohmmeter to check continuity between terminals of connector C and control unit connector A:
^ Connector C terminal (1) and control unit connector A terminal (20)
^ Connector C terminal (3) and control unit connector A terminal (26)
^ Specifications: approx. 0 ohm
If specifications NOT OK
- Check for open circuit in wiring between connectors A and C according to current flow diagram
If specs. OK and system NOT OK
- Replace control unit
