Fuel Pump Relay Control





- pull fuel pump relay out of relay panel, location 10
- connect multimeter US 1119 between terminals 48 and 50 of relay socket
- specification: approximately 12 volts
- connect multimeter US 1119 between terminals 46 and 50 of relay socket
- switch ignition ON
- specification: approximately 12 volts

If specification is NOT obtained
- correct break in wiring according to wiring diagram
- connect multimeter US 1119 between terminals 46 and 47 of relay socket
- operate starter briefly
- specification: minimum 7 volts

If specification IS obtained
- replace fuel pump relay

If specification is NOT obtained, check wiring as follows:
- remove electronic ignition control unit access cover in left foot well, and pull harness connector from control unit





- measure resistance between 25 pin connector and relay socket 10 with multimeter US 1119 as follows:
^ 25 pin connector terminal 3 and relay socket 10 terminal 49
^ 25 pin connector terminal 14 and relay socket 10 terminal 47
- specification approximately 0.2 ohms

If specification is NOT obtained
- repair break in wiring using wiring diagram

If specification IS obtained
- replace knock sensor ignition control unit
