A/C Load Compensation, (CIS-E III)

- start engine and run at idle
- switch air conditioner ON
^ idle speed MUST increase from either 800 RPM or 720 RPM to 920 RPM

If the idle speed does NOT increase
- check for open circuit between control unit and A/C compressor using wiring diagram
- switch air conditioner OFF
- raise engine speed to 2,000 RPM and hold this speed
- note current value (mA)
- switch A/C ON
^ with the compressor running and a constant engine speed of 2,000 RPM, the noted value must increase abruptly by approximately 80 mA

If the value does NOT increase
- check for open circuit between control unit and A/C compressor using wiring diagram
