Cold Start Enrichment

TEST CONDITIONS
- engine coolant temp. below 20°C (68°F)
- coolant temp. sensor OK
- VW 1367 connected for test

WORK SEQUENCE





- unplug high tension wire from ignition coil terminal 4 and connect to ground with jumper cable
- crank engine with starter
- specification: approx. 80% duty cycle (constant)

If duty cycle reading NOT OK
- replace control unit

If duty cycle reading is OK with difficulties cold starting
- check cold start valve or idle stabilization system
