Hydraulic pump noise
If hydraulic pump noise can be heard from inside the vehicle with the hood closed and the engine idling, it is considered unacceptable.
Check/adjust V-belt tension if the customer complains of hearing pump noise. If the noise is still unacceptable with the correct V-belt tension, replace the hydraulic pump.
Hydraulic pump V-belt, adjusting
^ loosen nuts 1
^ turn adjuster bolt 2 to achieve correct belt tension
^ belt is correctly adjusted when center of belt can be depressed 10 mm (3/8 in.) (arrow)
