Front Power Seats - Insufficient Headroom


Cause:
Insufficient headroom for very tall persons in vehicles equipped with power seats and sunroof.


Production:
Seat frame of reduced height (approx. 12 mm) Foam cushion decreased at seat guide rail area.

As of: May 1989 - gradually


Service:
Sport Seats: Install seat frame of reduced height (approx. 12 mm) sport seats:

Leather left P/N 447 881 025AD
right 447 881 026AD


Cloth left P/N 443 881 025AS (100/200 only)
right 443 881 026AS (100/200 only)


Non-Sport seats:
Detach sport bow (side bolster support) Install covers for friction pads:

Left outside P/N 443 867 477 01C
inside 443 867 437 01C
Right outside P/N 443 867 478 01C
inside 443 867 438 01C

Decrease foam cushion at seat guide rail area if in isolated cases seat guide rails are brushing against floor carpet.

Front seats can be replaced or modified under warranty with zone approval only.
