Expansion Block/Orifice Tube: Description and Operation

OPERATION
The Expansion Tube is a simple restrictor which meters the amount of refrigerant flowing into the evaporator.

PURPOSE
This fixed size, non-moving design ensures maximum amount of refrigerant to the evaporator. This system allows the expansion tube to replace the expansion and POA valves used in other vehicles.

CONSTRUCTION
Refrigerant pressure and temperature is maintained by a cycling A/C compressor clutch.
