Engines With Two Knock Sensors

IGNITION DISTRIBUTOR BASIC ADJUSTMENT

1. Turn crankshaft to TDC (line up flywheel timing mark, and mark on the camshaft pulley must line up with the upper edge of the valve cover).
2. Remove the distributor cap and dust shield.
3. Drill out the shear bolt and remove the tab that covers the distributor hold down clamp bolt.
4. Loosen the distributor clamp.
5. Rotate the distributor until the notch in the trigger wheel (which should be in alignment with the notch in the distributor shaft for the rotor) lines up with the notch in the distributor body (opposite the electrical plug).
