Oil Temperature Gauge: Description and Operation

Circuit Description
Three instruments are mounted in the center console: a voltmeter,an engine oil-pressure gauge and an engine oil temperature gauge.

Electrical power for the gauges is supplied via fuse #12 (S12). The gauges operate whenever the ignition switch is in the "On" or "Run" position.

Electrical power for the gauge lights is supplied via fuse #14(514) whenever the park lights or headlights are on. The bulbs are controlled by an instrument panel light booster and are replaceable.

The oil-temperature gauge works in conjunction with an oil-temperature sensor. The oil-pressure gauge works in conjunction with an oil-pressure sender and is separate from the oil pressure warning system's warning light and buzzer.
