Clutch: Service and Repair

1. Remove transmission assembly, refer to TRANSMISSION.
2. Loosen pressure plate bolts diagonally in stages, then remove pressure plate and clutch disc.
3. Inspect clutch release bearing and replace if worn or noisy.
4. On 200 models, install clutch disc with centering tool 10-213 or equivalent.
5. On models except 200, install clutch disc with centering tool 3176 or equivalent.
6. Lock flywheel into position using flywheel locking tool 10-201 or equivalent.
7. Install pressure plate on locating pins, then tighten bolts diagonally and in stages to specifications.
8. Remove centering and flywheel locking tools, then install transmission assembly, refer to TRANSMISSION.
