Antitheft and Alarm Systems: Description and Operation

Circuit Description
The anti-theft alarm system is controlled by the anti-theft alarm control unit.The control unit and the anti-theft alarm warning horn are located in the rear luggage compartment. The control unit monitors switches at the hood, trunk lid and doors.

The alarm horn will sound and the anti-theft alarm light warning relay will flash the turn signal lights if the system detects an interruption at any of the monitor points 30 seconds after the system has been activated.

The alarm will also be triggered if an attempt is made to switch on the ignition or remove the radio while the alarm system is activated.
