Exhaust - Leaking, Resonating Noise Under Car





Cause:
Exhaust clamp sleeve leaking at both ends.

Production:
No change.

Service:
Remove clamp sleeve. Clean exhaust pipe with wire brush or sandpaper. Apply coat of Permatex muffler and tail pipe sealer, P/N MTK-1, or equivalent. Reinstall clamp sleeve with split lock washers. Road test car. Re-examine clamp sleeve for leaks.
