Condition

Loss of power under load and/or engine misfire.

Cause

Fuel Distributor:





Low fuel flow caused by restriction at inlet banjo bolt (arrow) on fuel distributor.

Note:
From 1988 m.y. the inlet banjo bolt has a mini filter screen which must be replaced during the 7500 mile maintenance service.

Service

Banjo Bolts:





- Inspect banjo bolt for identification marks

If the hex head of the banjo bolt has a raised shoulder (arrow), it contains a mini-filter.

- Replace mini filter with banjo bolt Part No. N 021 071 2

The hex head of this banjo bolt does not have a raised shoulder and does not contain a mini-filter

Note:
Whenever these vehicles are in for any type of service, inspect the inlet banjo bolt and replace it if it has a shoulder as in illustration A.
