Sunroof / Moonroof: Description and Operation

Circuit Description
The sunroof is controlled by the power window/sunroof control unit, which is protected by the power window/sunroof circuit breaker, a thermofuse located above the auxiliary relay panel. The control unit is powered whenever the battery is connected. The circuit breaker resets itself automatically after any circuit overload has been corrected.

The sunroof motor is controlled by the sunroof switch and the sunroof relay.Stop switches interrupt power to the sunroof motor when the sunroof is fully open or closed.

The 1991 Coupe Quattro 20V built for sale in the USA is equipped with a power glass sunroof with automatic preselect functions. The separate power sunroof control unit is powered via the power sunroof circuit breaker or thermofuse located above the auxiliary relay panel. Sunroof position is controlled by the power sunroof position switch and calibrated by adjustment of the motor when the sunroof is in the closed position.
