Manual Transmission 012, 016 01A - First And Reverse Gear Cannot Be Shifted


Cause: Clutch disc sticking on the of the drive shaft.


Production: Splines of main shaft greased from transmission No. 13029.

As of: March 1989

Service: Remove clutch. Thoroughly clean the splines of clutch and main shaft and apply a thin layer of high quality grease P/N G 000 100.

Slightly lubricate the pilot bearing with MOS 2 grease, replace if damaged.

Only high quality grease i.e. P/N G 000 100 must be used on main shaft splines.

The clutch plate/components should only be replaced if worn or damaged.
