Daytime Running Lamp: Description and Operation

Circuit Description
Power for the daytime driving lights on Canada models is supplied via the ignition/start switch (terminal 75). The daytime driving lights circuit operates whenever the ignition switch is in the "Run" position.

The low-beam headlights operate at less than their nighttime brightness due to additional resistance in the daytime driving lights circuit. The taillights and front side marker lights are also illuminated via the daytime driving light relay.

WARNING: The driver-side airbag is an explosive device. Before removing the steering wheel or steering column switches, always disconnect the airbag power-supply connector, refer to "Air Bag Systems" for more information.
