Tail Lamp: Description and Operation
Circuit Description
Power for the right taillight and right side marker lights is supplied via fuse #6 (S6). Power for the left taillight and left side marker lights is supplied via fuse #7 (S7). Both fuses are located on the main fuse/relay panel. Models equipped with Auto-Check have a rear lamp control unit in series with the taillight bulbs. This control unit monitors bulb failures.
Power for the engine compartment light, license plate lights and glove box light is supplied via fuse #14 (S14) on the main fuse/relay panel whenever the marker lights or headlights are on.
WARNING: The driver-side airbag is an explosive device. Before removing the steering wheel or steering column switches, always disconnect the airbag voltage supply connector, refer to "Air Bag Systems" for more information.
