Timing Component Alignment Marks: Locations

Camshaft Timing Mark, Cylinder Head Cover Installed:

Valve cover installed
- Marking on camshaft sprocket must line up with marking on valve cover.




Valve Cover Removed
- Marking on camshaft sprocket (arrow) must line up with upper edge of cylinder head.




Engine Installed
- Position crankshaft at TDC
- Line up TDC marking 0 with boss on bell housing (arrow)




Engine Removed
- Line up notch of vibration damper with adjustment mark on oil pump housing.

CAUTION: Incorrect removal or installation of the timing belt can result in damage to internal engine components.
