1. Ball joint
2. Self-locking nut - 200 Nm (148 ft lb)
always replace

3. Self-locking nut - 90 Nm (66 ft lb)
always replace

4. Bonded rubber bushing
5. Plain washer

6. Self-locking bolt - 170 Nm (125 ft lb)
always replace
clean remains of adhesive from trapezoidal arm
thread with screw-tap M 14 x 1.5

7. Collar nut - 11O Nm (81 ft lb)
always replace

8. Hexagon bolt and washer
always replace
tighten to 200 Nm (148 ft lb) and then turn additional 90° (1 4 turn)
loosen tighten only with vehicle standing on wheels

9. Self-locking bolt - 170 Nm (125 ft lb)
always replace
clean remaining adhesive of screw thread of wheel bearing housing with screw-tap M 14 x 1.5

10. Pivot mount
when installed, cross points must point up

11. Bonded rubber bushing
12. Plain washer

WARNING: Do not remove or install axle bolt washer with vehicle on a hoist. Lower vehicle to the ground betore removing installing.

CAUTION:
Do not move vehicle without driveshaft or outer constant velocity joint installed or wheel bearing will be damaged.
When disassembling suspension strut install tool 20701 before removing (or use VW 340).
Do not heat up wheel bearing housing or wheel bearing will be damaged. Always replace selt-locking nuts and bolts.
