Service Solution:
Install oil pressure switch wiring harness kit - Part No. 441 971 222.
CAUTION
Part numbers are for reference only. Always check with your Parts Department for latest information.
^ disconnect battery ground strap
^ cut tie wrap, remove right side engine intake air duct
--> ^ remove right side exhaust manifold shield (arrows)
^ disconnect .3 bar (4.4 psi) oil pressure switch (blue wire)
^ cut off connector, remove rubber connector cover and discard
^ install replacement connector from kit
^ rubber plug MUST be installed onto wire before connector is installed
^ attach new connector housing and connector end lock
^ attach new connector to matching connector of new wiring harness
^ remove sound dampening pan (arrows)
^ disconnect and remove cooling air duct from alternator (arrow)
^ disconnect and remove outer half of air intake elbow from alternator (top arrow)
^ this provides access to D+ terminal
^ remove nut from D+ terminal and discard
^ leave blue wire attached
^ install eyelet end of new wiring harness onto D+ terminal and secure with self locking nut from kit
^ route alternator wires, as shown
^ route new wiring harness through grommet A, as shown
^ tuck remainder of harness under grommet B
^ connect female connector of new wiring harness to .3 bar (4.4 psi) oil pressure switch
^ connect white male connector to new white female connector
^ tie wrap, as shown, leaving some slack in wire to alternator
^ reinstall all components in reverse order of removal
^ reconnect battery ground strap
