Condition:

With radio ON, Auto-check display shows horizontal bars (arrow) or dark spots instead of radio frequency.

or

Unrecognizable Auto-check display, part of display is missing.


Note

The radio frequency is displayed only on vehicles equipped with the Delta radio.

If the Auto-check display shows "TAPE" when the tape is not being used, replace the radio.


Service solution:

Replace Auto-check display unit (90, Coupe Quattro, 100/200) or instrument cluster (V8).
