Right Side

1. Remove fuel tank cover, then disconnect parking brake cable from right side caliper.
2. Press parking brake cable out of bracket, then remove bracket for fuel tank cover.
3. Disconnect trapezoidal arm from crossmember and lower, then the axle shaft and lower.
4. Remove axle flange bolt, hold flange stationary with drift.
5. Place an oil drain pan underneath and remove flange.
6. Remove axle flange by hand, if necessary, loosen with two pry bars. Use caution not to damage collar on shaft housing.
7. Pry out seal with a suitable sized screwdriver, then drive in new seal until seated using seal install 2062 or equivalent. Pack space between oil seal lips with multi-purpose grease.
8. Install axle flange and axle shaft using new gasket.
9. Connect trapezoidal arm, then install bracket for fuel tank cover.
10. Connect parking brake cable, then install fuel tank cover.
11. Add oil to differential, if necessary.
12. Torque socket head bolt to flange shaft to 89 inch lbs plus an additional 1/4 turn, axle shaft to flange bolts to 60 ft lbs and trapezoidal arms to crossmember bolts to 63 ft lbs
