Installation



NOTE: Installation procedure is the reverse of removal, however; keep the following points in mind:
- Ensure that the engine/transmission alignment dowels are installed in cylinder block, install if missing.
- Always replace self locking nuts.
- Adjust accelerator cable by inserting movable clip into cable adjustment slots so that with pedal fully extended to the floor; full throtttle is just reached.
- Fill cooling system,
- Check engine oil level before starting engine.
- Check automatic transmission oil level.
- Adjust exhaust system tension-free.
- Install A/C compressor.

CAUTION: After tensioning the V-belt, turn tensioning bolt approximately 10 mm (0.4 in) from engine block.

- Replace all tie wraps which have been removed in the same location.

TIGHTENING TORQUES:
Engine to Transmission
M8 20 Nm (15 ft lb)
M10 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
M12 60 Nm (44 ft lb)
Engine Support 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
A/C Compressor to Bracket 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
Exhaust Pipe to Transmission Bracket 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
Engine Mount to Engine Support 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
Engine Mount to Body 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
